Puss in Boots Show Stats
There are 8 characters in this show, not including the solo puppeteer who is the storyteller/narrator and makes a brief appearance at the begining and end of the show. It is performed with rod marionettes on a portable procenium stage with the puppeteer working on a bridge behind in the traditional performance style. The marionettes are individually crafted and costumed with the bodies carved from wood and the heads sulpted,then cast in neoprene. There are also sections of the show that are performed as simple shadow puppets on screens that are incorporated into the design of the procenium. The puppets are hand carved from wood, with the heads cast in neoprene, and each puppet custom costumed. The shadow puppets are made of a matt board. Puss in Boots has a running time of approximately 40 minutes and is intended for K-5 and family audiences. Puppetry styles include rod marionettes and shadow puppets.
